Every year, thousands of Canadians trade snow for sunshine. Instead of shoveling driveways and braving icy mornings, they pack their bags and head south to warmer destinations. This tradition gave rise to the term “Snowbirds” — travelers who escape the Canadian winter for months at a time.
This Snowbird Survival Guide (AI Edition) was created by AI City Travel to help you plan a smoother, smarter journey. Inside, you’ll find practical advice on choosing destinations, comparing housing options, staying connected with eSIM, and preparing essential health basics with AI Telemedicine. We also include a handy packing checklist and budgeting tips, so you can enjoy your time abroad without unnecessary stress.
With the support of our Snowbird Concierge, you don’t just read a guide — you get a personalized travel assistant that helps you plan step by step. Whether you’re a first-time snowbird or a seasoned traveler, this guide makes your winter escape simple, affordable, and enjoyable.

This is our apartment's number 9 door with lovely decorations from Mrs. White. We also rented a scooter for some quick trips.
Farmers' markets here are an old tradition. Everybody attends, and they are crazy about fresh seasonal veggies and greens. I think it’s pretty cool! Mrs. White is growing a garden of flowers and an army of onions now.
So now we are on the road, ready to explore more. Our next stop is Inverness. They say it is a very nice and authentic little town with an old historical white bridge in town and breathtaking forests.
